Fionnuala and Julien got married recently in France not too far from the Alps and I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph the day. Fionnuala was actually a childhood friend of one of my past clients, the lovely Victoria from this fantastic Irish wedding. Lets just say the chateaux was special. Juliens family are from the area, Contrevoz a small village maybe an hour from Annecy and his aunty saw the chateaux nestled on top of a hill and wondered if the owners would be open to having the wedding there. She knocked on the door and luckily for them the owner was only too happy to provide his chateaux – simple as that!

This was their day:

I’m on Facebook

I’m now on Facebook and here’s the page >  http://www.facebook.com/DavidJenkinsPhotography I was before but now in the official capacity with a business page. It’s probably about time (in other words seven years after I shot my first wedding). If you like looking at images there will be a lot posted. The blog is a bit more unwieldy for quick pics and less interactive so do go over and like it, look at it etc..  It mainly has images like this or this  with other styles to come. Here’s a recent wedding and brilliant one at that with the lovely Kate and Ben (and more to come from this too).

Zetter hotel wedding photographer London

I love the Zetter Hotel, admittedly the only time I stayed there (about four years ago) it was my birthday and we didn’t get back to the room until 9 in the morning but the hour I did stay there and the meal the night before convinced me that this is one of my favourite places in London. It’s cool, very relaxed and after having experienced the Hoxton hotel on a saturday night I can safely say it’s not packed with the suited offspring of Russian oligarchs creating the kind of atmosphere I’d imagine you’d get at banking convention. But anyway this isn’t an advert for the Zetter, the Zetter is fab and so too are Camilla and Dominic two of the most relaxed, cool and nicest people to be around. This was their day:

Pregnancy studio shoot

I’ve not blogged about the studio much before but last year we opened a studio right here in Cheltenham and called it Everything We Love.  I love shooting weddings but I’ve never been solely a wedding shooter. One thing I’ve always enjoyed photographing is photographing women. This for me has always been a big part of weddings anyway, capturing elegance through light and movement. The studio now means we can shoot more natural portraits but in a nice open light filled environment as well as some more fashion type portraits which I’ve got more plans for next year, for absolutely anyone or any couple who want something like that. We go out, get a whole lot of outfits and then turn it into a bit of a dressing up party (if a thing exists which I’m pretty sure it did when we were six).  This is Wendy, she’s very cool:

Studio in Cheltenham | Grey Likes Baby - [...] David Jenkins is more typically a wedding photographer, however he has recently opened up a studio in Cheltenham UK and did this elegant maternity shoot there. I am smitten with the modern red chair contrasting this neutral shoot, the relaxed posing, and the stunning elegance that the mother is made of. [...]
