Olivia & Nick’s Oxford wedding

Olivia and Nick are to say the least very fun people to be around. You could witness this in the way they interacted with their friends and family. A huge warm circle of friendship enveloped them during the day and from just spending a small amount of time with them you could easily see why. I’d want to be their buddy and it was this charisma that made the photography a total pleasure.  As a regular Oxford wedding photographer this wedding in particular was one where you really felt connected to the town, we walked through the streets in the morning with the guys to the pub and Olivia was getting ready at her parents home near the centre. And the venue itself Rhodes House is an incredible building designed in the style os Cotswolds mansion and its sandy stones making it a perfect fit for Oxford.

Overall the day had a lovely balance of classic Englishness mixed with fun and also meaningful moments. There’s an image below of Olivia beside her grandmother and it’s moments like this along with the images of those moments that now feel so important. I may not fill my instagram feed with these images but I know they’ll outlast many other moments and grow in value as time goes on. Photography is a time travelling medium.  Its full value is only experienced in the future.
