Beldi Country Club wedding, Marrakech
Georgia & Charlie’s wedding at the Beldi Country Club
This was a beautiful wedding at the Beldi Country Club in Marrakech, Morocco. The colours, the warmth and the distinctive architecture. I have photographed in Marrakech once previously so to have the opportunity to go back and enjoy the atmosphere again was a privilege.
The glass house the ceremony took place in reminded me of Victorian tropical glass houses. Here they were als0 filled with tall exotic greens with huge leaves filling the space perfectly. The floral design utilised terracotta pots filled with yellow and orange blooms creating a colourful backdrop for the ceremony. In fact all the details looked perfect. The room for the dinner was immaculate with candles and florals down the centre of each table creating the right feel. Georgia wore a stunning classic Halfpenny dress while Charlie looked effortlessly cool in a white tuxedo and bow tie. Colour was such a part of this day. The drinks reception took place on the lawns which had paths strewn with lovely red moroccan rugs. While the sun set and as the evening drew in there was a brilliant fire breathing display before dinner. In the nighttime we were treated to an amazing outdoor dance floor repeat with large disco balls hanging above. Charlie himself played some great tunes and the pro DJ played exactly the kind of music I love to hear at weddings, enough familiar tunes to keep everyone happy but an undercurrent of rhythm to keep everyone dancing.
Weddings where so much time is spent outside will always be a pleasure to photograph and Georgia and Charlie’s day at will certainly live long in the memory. A few moments are below.
