Spring Restaurant Wedding, Somerset House

Eliza & James’ wedding at Spring, London

This was a stunning day in London, with lots of laughter and so much style.  Weddings at Spring restaurant in London are blessed with the incredible back drop that is the organic and light filled rooms that form the heart of the restaurant.

White relief walls with greens dotted around giving a wonderful wild feel. Eliza wore a beautiful Zimmerman dress which was embroidered with stunning nautical details. Smaller weddings always have a good feeling. Everyone eventually gets the chance to talk to everyone else creating a unified whole. The speeches have a more intimate feel. Somerset House itself has an elegant European charm and is one of Londons most stunning squares. Side note it’s an incredible venue to watch music in the Summer through their series of performances they host.

I had one of my 35mm film cameras with and took the opportunity to capture some candid more raw feeling film shots. I tend to lean towards medium format when there are slower moments. The skies on this day were grey but that still leads to vibrant shots. The architectural backdrops with their pale grey doric columns bring a luminosity all of their own.
