Alba & James at the Haweswater Hotel in the Lake District

What a beautiful day in the Lakes. The weather was changeable and the landscape bold, a perfect combination as a backdrop for James and Albas wedding at the Haweswater Hotel in Penrith in Cumbria.  I find it interesting when I chat to couples how they chose their venues, and with an area so unique such as this one I wanted to know if there was particular connection. James told me it was where he first brought Alba when she came to England and so going back there for the wedding gave the surrounding landscape a beautiful significance to the day.

The evening before the wedding I arrived for a little recce of the surrounding area and knew if the weather was good the backdrops would be amazing. I found a spot with a short walk (nearly a climb in places) where the valleys were on display. James and Alba took the opportunity and the results are below. The rest of the day was filled with intimate moments and and the overall feel was beautifully relaxed.
