Middleton lodge wedding

Anna & Dylan’s Middleton Lodge wedding, North Yorkshire

A wonderful wedding in the Fig House in the Middleton Lodge Estate. This was my second time photographing here and as luck would have it this again was a wonderfully sunny day after a downpour.  Once the weather cleared everyone moved outside and the amazing walled garden really shone.  On my previous trip to Middleton Lodge the Fig House had not yet been built. It’s a truly fantastic building, clean lines integrated stylishly with the surrounding gardens.  It has a slightly 60’s coastal feel and slightly echo of Frank Lloyd Wright but with more Cotswolds stone.

Anna and Dylan went for a lot of flowers which complemented the surrounding rose pergola and beds.  The guests relaxed in the afternoon sun outside.  The space creates a very unique garden party feel. These gardens could easily feature on a design show so to have them privately for a wedding is a special thing, especially in early Summer.

We moved inside the orangery for speeches and finished off in style with an incredible brass band. Brass bands are underrated in my opinion, anyone that has seen Meute can attest. If you’re holding your wedding at the Fig House at Middleton Lodge I would love to hear from you.  It’s a beautiful venue.
