Bistrotheque wedding London

A beautiful day with Sam & Ed in Bethnal Green. This is their Bistrotheque wedding in London.  There are some weddings that have an abundance of detail, florals, objects to create the mood and others use the moods of the venues selected. A wedding at Bistrotheque in London is engulfed by light, no matter the weather, in the upstairs dining room due to the classic (and pretty wonderful) industrial windows lining each side of the room. It’s a room that lends itself to gatherings, it’s relaxed but smart and the speeches taking place at the ends of the long tables went down brilliantly. Let’s just say that Sam’s dad looked incredibly cool or maybe more accurately he was cool.  A natural warmth and timing that despite the language barrier had everyone laughing.

We started the day however at the Town Hall hotel with is sublime minimal interiors and art deco corridors and moved to another art deco gem the Hackney town hall. These venues form the perfect backdrop in their own right, majestic and beautifully designed in their own right. A brief moment after the ceremony for photos and we were off to the reception.  As I’ve mentioned the dining room is a beautiful spot but we finished in the basement with a cool club feel.  A low ceiling, dark corners it’s the perfect space for dancing. The sound particularly is great. The flow on this day was perfect, energies remained high and the guests and couple were smiling though-out. Below are a few highlights, this is how the day felt:
