The Royal Hospital Chelsea overlooks the Thames and the grounds are the home of the Chelsea Pensioners. Anne-Charlotte and Alexandre had a beautifully classic day starting in Sloane Square, walking down the road to the stunning grounds of the hospital. We were lucky to enjoy an amazing sunset that cast a warm pink glow across the majestic buildings. Perfect light for portraits, Anne-Charlotte wearing two dresses Roland Mouret & Elie Saab with stunning florals from Amanda Austin. The bouquet was genuinely stunning a delicate spray of white flowers with no other colours present. In the evening I got to experience the French joie de vie and the party started pretty much as soon as the guests moved through to the reception dinner.
Royal Hospital Chelsea wedding
I love photographing in London. I just want to put that out there. The architecture combined with chic wedding couples makes for a perfect combination. A Royal Hospital Chelsea wedding has tall, proud buildings in abundance. I love minimal backdrops which classic architecture provides and especially the kind all over West London. Elie Saab has always had wedding dresses that I’ve loved, each one a genuine art piece in itself. Anne-Charlotte looked stunning in hers. When it comes to portraits, I stress that above all I want the focus of the pictures to be the clients. Even if they’re not pin sharp portrait photography for me is about people; the light, the sunset and the architecture come second but I want the photos to speak through the feeling given through the people first.
